This painting is based on my visit to friends in
Ireland. 'Loch Ree' is the name of the lake that
has influenced this picture with its clean air and
rich coloured skies, a tranquil place where time
stands still. The subject of this painting is 'The
Lake'. The music to accompany the print, that
I listened to whilst painting ‘Gracious’, was the
track "Central Park", movie King Kong, composer
James Newton Howard.
